No, the game is designed in such a way that you do not need any prior knowledge of the target language to play the game. WonderLang includes foundational lessons in grammar and conjugation. However, it's best used as a supplementary tool alongside traditional language learning methods like classes or textbooks.
WonderLang is crafted for a broad audience, starting with children aged 10. Its engaging content is designed to be appreciated by players of all ages.
WonderLang has been designed for beginner learners and those studying for the A1 level. It covers the full A1 level and part of the A2 level. It is also suitable for A2-level learners looking for a fun way to practice. Different modes tailored to each level (Beginners, A1, and A2) are planned for a late February 2025 update.

We regularly publish free updates and enhancements to WonderLang, influenced by player feedback. We are planning to add modes to differentiate the experience for beginners, A1-level, and A2-level players. Additionally, we plan to add more free content targeted at absolute beginners and advanced A2-level learners.
WonderLang's journey begins on Windows PC and macOS (the French, Spanish, Portuguese and German learning versions are out on Steam and itch.io). Android and iOS versions are planned for Spring 2025.
Yes, WonderLang is playable on Steam Deck. It will also receive an update to better adapt the interface for Steam Deck in late February 2025.
